Monte Swarup, MD, FACOG
Dr. Monte Swarup received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 1994. He then completed his residency at Baylor College of Medicine where he specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Swarup is board certified and has over 25 years of experience working in the medical field. Currently, he holds an Assistant Clinical Professor position at Midwestern University’s OB/GYN Department. He is also a co-founding partner of New Horizons Women’s Care and Arizona OB/GYN Affiliates.
He holds membership to multiple medical associations, including the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Medical Association. Dr. Swarup also participates in a leadership role for the Arizona Care Network, the state’s largest ACO.
He was named one of America’s Top OB/GYNs from 2012-2014 and received the Marquis Who’s Who in America Albert Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award in 2019. He’s also been named a Top Doc by Phoenix Magazine, a Super Doctor by AZ Magazine’s Phoenix, and he received the Patient’s Choice Award from 2008-2013.
Dr. Swarup has been published multiple times, most recently in 2013 for his endorsement of a non-invasive approach to prenatal screening. His work on a number of clinical trials and studies has included research on endometrial ablation, transvaginal ultrasound, and pregnancy anti-nausea medication.
He specializes in minimally invasive and robotic surgery, surgical and non-surgical evaluation and treatment of women’s health needs, and high-risk obstetrics.
In his free time, Dr. Swarup enjoys spending time with his family, coaching soccer, and playing golf. His motto is “Work hard, play hard, live well” and that motto can be seen lived in all aspects of his life.
